Newton High School’s robotics team, Team 3142 Aperture, has been a thriving part of the school district and community since 2009. The team promotes STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education, with real-life solutions that the team showcases at public events and FIRST robotics competitions. The hands-on experience paves the way for students planning to pursue science and technology careers.
The Missouri University of Science and Technology's Formula Electric Racing Team may be new to the FSAE circuit, starting in 2015, but they are a team to watch out for! We can't wait to see progress this team makes in the coming years and it is an honor for us to be a part of their project!
Jared Mees was six years old when his father got him into racing, and he grew up racing just about every size motorcycle. In 2002, Mees turned Pro Sport and won the Sportster performance championship. In 2012, he won the overall Grand National Championship title as well as a GNC Singles championship.
TBR has quickly parlayed its heritage into championships and wins in each of its first three seasons. In 2002 it's American Le Mans Series entry picked up a class-best three wins during a five-race period in the middle of the season, and finished 3rd, 4th and 5th in the drivers points championship in its first-ever sports car racing effort.
Wayne started riding motorcycles when he was 5. He raced AMA district 37 (Southern California) Class C Flat track (250, 500 and 750) and also desert raced (250 and 500). Wayne successfully ran some sportsman drag racing on a B-modified Norton and an H-1 Kaw triple in the early years.
Team Lionheart, the Pope John High School Robotics team, operates through a wonderful program called FIRST. FIRST is an international program designed to increase societal awareness of careers in math science and technology and to show people how careers in these fields can enrich and enhance the lives of all.
Gardella Racing, LLC, is owned and operated by driver Gary Gardella. The Gardella Racing team made their professional debut in 2000, when their Honda Civic proved too fast for the street. The desire to improve and go fast led to upcoming years of chassis, engine, and motor program modifications, which have made Gardella Racing a leader in sport compact racing.
